Meet Our Queen Mother

Mrs. Toni J. Beard

Toni Beard Queen Mother of the “Donelson Red Hat Honeys” wears a lot of different hats other than red ones. She is active in the following: The Hermitage United Methodist Church, Ladies Bible Class, UMW Esther Circle, and Children Ministries Leader of the Puppet Team. She is a member of the Rivers Bend Christian Women Association, Ladies of Hermitage Association, active member of the Donelson Senior Center where she is also a member of the Grandma Groupies with the Theater of Arts. She is a member of the Flying Aces a volunteer group with the Nashville International Airport the group assist air travelers with questions they have concerning the Nashville International Airport and acts as ambassadors to our city. She is a current graduate from the Class 2006 Leadership Donelson-Hermitage. She loves crafts and sometimes serves as crafts instructor at the Donelson Center. She loves too the art of Rubber-Stamping and is taking up Scrap Booking in order to fix stories and pictures of the Donelson Red Hat Honeys. She enjoys her pet a little dwarf hamster “Hater” who loves to eat shredded carrots. Toni is a good example of aging with grace and having fun after fifty. Her philosophy on life is you can have Peace in the World by being at Peace with yourself and having Jesus Christ in your heart, Always seeking God’s Kingdom, Applying Love Never Fails, and always being kinder than necessary. The Donelson Red Hat Honeys will celebrate their fifth year of existence this January 2007.

Brenda is an active member of the Hermitage United Methodist Church, The United Methodist Women, Esther Circle, Joy Sunday School Class where she serves as Class Secretary. She is a volunteer at McKendree Manor and is a member of The Ladies Hermitage Association. She is a mother of three daughters and grandmother of six year old twin granddaughters. She along with Queen Mother Toni Beard helped get The Donelson Red Hat Honeys chapter started. Brenda's husband Bobby is not only the official photographer for our group he is also our official weatherman. He's one of our local meteorologist. In her spare time Brenda enjoys Beth Moore Bible Studies, and reading. Eugenia Price is one of her favorite authors (she has read all her books and has an autographed copy of one of Eugenia’s books she found on St. Simon Island). She loves to travel, go on cruises, likes history and follows it up by visiting historic places. She has that wonderful gift of making people feel special, comfortable, and shows a genuine interest and concern with all the people she meets. She, too, is aging with grace and is having fun after fifty.
